A Message From Joe and Dan!

Hi!

We know you’re busy this time of year, so we will jump right into it:

  1. We hope all of your WMS dashboards we’re lit up like Christmas trees over BFCM and you crushed your goals

  2. We’re incredibly appreciative of you for believing in the Fulfill team and our mission

  3. To re-iterate our mission - we’re here to help brands grow with the best-fit 3PLs, and to help 3PLs grow with the best-fit brands. Pretty simple, right?

As you know, there’s a never-ending list of things to do when growing a business - and even more for 3PLs because of the constantly evolving tech, consumer demands, competition, and that tricky thing called “the global supply chain”.

With that in mind, we wanted to create a place for 3PL owners, sales teams, operators, marketers, and more to connect, learn, share stories, highlight successes, and give people additional tools to capture opportunity.

And as our network has grown to 500+ 3PLs globally, dozens of vendor partners that support 3PLs, and hundreds of brands using our 3PL finder services each month, we felt it was appropriate to create a newsletter aggregating our view of what is going on in the industry.

So, this is our first edition to get things rolling where we (Joe, Dan, and the Fulfill team) share what is going on in the industry, highlight some of our 3PLs and partners - and we hope you get value from it.

As always, we are an open book and welcome you to let us know what you want to hear more of, less of, if you have a personal / business story that you’d like our network to know about (and especially if you have a catchy name for the newsletter, we’re all ears).

BFCM Recap

Congratulations on making it through BFCM! Hope you find some time to enjoy a well deserved nap😴! In general, Black Friday seemed to be a huge success. Some fun stats below:

  • Consumers spent $9.8 billion in online purchases which is a 7.5% increase year over year.

  • $5.3 billion (roughly 54%) of online purchases were made from mobile devices. This was roughly a 10% year over year increase. Mobile commerce is just taking off🚀.

  • Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) is being used as an alternative to higher credit card interest rates. BNPL is up 47% year over year and rose 72% the week leading up to Black Friday.

  • Retail store foot traffic was up approximately 2.1% year over year.
